Who we are

Eleanor Crowther - Clinical Psychologist

Eleanor is all about creating a relaxed, safe, and judgment-free space where clients can be themselves. She believes that therapy works best when there’s a strong rapport, so she prioritises building a trusting relationship where clients feel genuinely comfortable. With a down-to-earth approach and a good sense of humour (sometimes), she meets clients right where they’re at, helping them explore change at their own pace.

Eleanor has a passion for working with clients looking to improve their understanding of self and their relationship with their body, including eating disorders/disordered eating, body dysmorphia and body image concerns. She also has a love for supporting women’s health issues, including Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder and Perinatal mental health, and is dedicated to providing an LGBTQIA+ affirming space for those exploring their gender, sexuality, and/or identity. If needed, Eleanor applies trauma-informed and neuro-affirming therapy, to ensure that her approach is tailored to each individual’s unique experiences.

Depending on the individual’s treatment goals, Eleanor provides therapy through various modalities such as CBT, DBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, Perinatal non-directive counselling and Gender-affirming therapy.

Eleanor is an endorsed Clinical Psychologist by AHPRA, who completed her Honours degree at the University of Canberra and her Clinical Masters degree at the Australian College of Applied Psychology.

Archie - Therapy Dog

Archie, our friendly 4-year-old Golden Retriever, is a beloved member of the Golden Hour Wellbeing team. He loves greeting clients with his favourite stuffed toy, as well as creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Archie loves spending time with people, particularly when they give him cuddles and pats. He is a fantastic asset to the therapy room in grounding techniques, encouraging self compassion and externalising problem solving.

When Archie isn’t in the therapy room, he is often taking naps (must be nice!), chasing birds or dreaming about his next meal.

Archie is a fully accredited therapy dog through Therapy Dogs Australia. Please see our page on Animal Assisted Therapy for more information on how Animal Assisted Therapy could be right for you.
